Central in the Schools
Richmond Schools have experienced a shortage of teachers and paraprofessionals this year. This does not mean our children must feel the consequences. The church can stand in the gap with a ministry of presence. Whether this is making copies, watching a hallway, answer phones or whatever – we can begin to make a difference, now. Please prayerfully consider giving an hour a week to serve in one of our three neighborhood schools (Test, Vaile, Starr). Background check forms and sign-up can be found in the church office.

Prayer Walk
Prayer connects us daily to a loving God moving in our midst. In his 3 Rules for Methodists, John Wesley calls us to both private and public prayer. On the first Monday of every month at noon, we will have a prayer walk through our neighborhood. We will divide into small groups at the entrance of the church and proceed in different directions. Along the way, we will pause to pick up trash and renew our streets and sidewalks. Please contact Pastor Joseph with any questions.
2023 Scripture Readers
Looking for a way to serve on Sundays? Be a scripture reader! We are planning the 2023 schedule and would love to have you on board. To sign-up or to ask questions, please email Christin at christin@richmondcumc.com or call the church office at 765-962-8543. Have you read in the past and want to read again? Let Christin know so we can get you on the schedule for 2023!

Trick or Treat in the park 2022
The 2021 Trick or Treat in the Park was such a success that Central has been asked to return in 2022. Our theme for this year’s booth is “So Sweet to Trust in Jesus.” We are in need of volunteers to help engage with, and pass out candy to our community on Saturday, October 29th from 5pm – 7pm. While we encourage you to dress up as your favorite candy, this is not a requirement to help! If you would like to volunteer in any way, please contact the church office at 765-962-8543 or email Christin at christin@richmondcumc.com by Friday, October 21st!
We are also accepting candy donations. We are expecting close to 1,000 kids and community members to attend Trick or Treat in the Park and would love to have enough candy to pass out to everyone. Candy donations can be placed in the office during our normal operating hours of 9-12 and 1-5 Monday through Thursday and 9-1 on Fridays. If you have any questions, please contact the church office.
