UMW Pop-Up
Creative hands will be having a Spring Pop-Up on Sunday March 21st after Worship in Fellowship Hall.  Come check us out!

No Lamplighter?!
We will not be having a Lamplighter for April, May, or June due to our office manager, Christin Hampton going on maternity leave start March 26th. During this time, we will be offering announcements and opportunities on our Central webpage – www.richmondcumc.com under Central News. Further, we will communicate our stories, devotionals, and check-ins via the blog found there.
We are all about to emerge not just from winter, but also from the distanced, coronavirus ice age. There will be wonderful reunions, communal grief and celebration, and maybe some grace revealed especially for you. As we will be without the Lamplighter, we invite you to chronicle how the Light of the World leads you during this time. Whether it would be through journaling, devotionals, poetry, drawing, painting, building, or essay – please take time to mark how God meets you.
Then, as you feel led, we ask for the people of Central to share these works. We will gather them as they come in to share on the blog, to create a future community devotional, and maybe to have a gallery of art and expression around emerging from this pandemic. You are what make Central so special – an image bearing, adopted child of the Most High God. We look forward to hearing from you. If you have anything you would like to have published, please email Pastor Joseph at joseph@richmondcumc.com or Carla Gillespie at carla@richmondcumc.com

Light Up the Night

My name is Denise Ebacher, I live in Centerville, Indiana. I am currently working on a personal project that I call “Light Up the Night.” Let me explain, I have a passion for the elderly not just in our community but everywhere. They have been alone and cooped up for so long without visitors. I would love to do just a little something to brighten their day or night. I have a hobby of doing liquid lead stained glass pictures, vases, etc. My goal is to make stained glass night lights for the residents. I am currently working to provide them for the residents of Ambassador Nursing Home in Centerville, Indiana, and hopefully continue giving to the residents at other nursing homes around the area. I am in no way receiving any kind of payment for this. It is my way of trying to put a smile on their face even if for just a little while with the help of our community.

I have planned to put a note in each night light saying the following “A Gift of love from people who care.” That way my name is not on it and it is from everyone who has played a part in this project. I am asking for the following donations: Small vases of various sizes, canning jars, gallery paints, liquid leading, colored rocks, fairy lights (with a timer) that is so the residents do not have to remember to turn it off and on, AA batteries (most of those type of lights take AA), and small paint brushes. I thank you so much in advance for any help that you can give on this project. I can be contacted at 765-914-6061. Please call to make a donation, do not drop them off in the church office unless arrangements have been made.
