Do you have an upcoming surgery? know someone who has been in the hospital? Let us know! In the past Reid would let us know when a member was ill but they no longer do so. We would love to come visit and pray with you but we need to know first. If you or someone you know is ever in need of a visit please contact the church office at 765-962-8543

Prayer connects us daily to a loving God moving in our midst. In his 3 rules for Methodists, John Wesley calls us to both private and public prayer. On August 2nd at noon, we will have a prayer walk through our neighborhood. We will meet by the Welcome Center, divide into small groups at the entrance of the church, and proceed in different directions. Along the way, we will pause to pick up trash and renew our streets and sidewalks. Together we will listen for God’s will for Central for the days ahead.

Real Discipleship Survey
We are told to follow Jesus, but how do I know where I stand in the journey…what to do next? The Real Discipleship Survey is an instrument designed to support the development of maturing disciples at both the personal and congregational levels. It measures the level of maturity in each of six dimensions of discipleship: Worship, Hospitality, Open to Jesus, Obeying Jesus, Service, and Generosity. The Indiana Conference has purchased a conference-wide license which makes the survey free for all INUMC churches and congregants! Once you take the survey, you will receive your results along with some suggestions on how you can continue to mature in journeying with Jesus. You can find the links to the Real Discipleship Survey and the Instructions on our website at richmondcumc.com/exploring/

Altar Guild
Central’s Altar Guild works quietly, and behind the scenes, each week to be sure that the sanctuary candles are filled with oil, the pew pockets are filled with prayer cards and donation envelopes, that flowers are on the altar, and that an appropriate banner is hung. Each member of the Altar Guild team picks a month or maybe even two. During their month(s) they come into the church during the week to prepare the sanctuary for the Sunday service, or a funeral, or a wedding. We also have wedding Ladies (Shanron Rider,Carol Bucher, Jennifer Hall, and Martha Hayes) who attend to all the needs of the brides and grooms and their families. If you would like to become a member of Central’s Altar Guild, call the church office at 962-8543 or Ann Cashner at 765-962-8458.
