TRIBE – Ways to Support

Our fall season for TRIBE is up and running! There are several ways you can get involved and help support our youth: 1) Pray- Commit to praying daily for us; 2) Volunteer- Become a mentor/small group leader; 3) Snacks- Help keep us stocked with cookies, chips, pop, etc. If you can help in any of these ways, please reach out to Pastor Phil.

Introducing TRIBE56 – We’re so excited to launch Tribe56, a new group for all 5th & 6th graders! After our planning meeting with parents earlier this month, we’ve been eager to create something new for our younger youth. Throughout the coming months we’ll have special events and outings, including some lesson/game nights led by our senior high students for the 5th and 6th graders. More details coming soon! Our first Tribe56 event is happening this Sunday, 8/29. We’ll canoe and kayak at Middlefork Reservoir, with ice cream to follow! We’ll meet at 5pm at Central. Contact Pastor Joseph for more info. Lots of exciting things still to come!

New Class Meetings

How is it with your soul? Do you want to go deeper with God? Grow in your faith? Our new class meetings are just for you! In early Methodism, class meetings were the building blocks of the church. These small group gatherings were intentional, safe spaces where fellow believers could “watch over one another in love” and spur one another to deeper faith. We have several new groups starting this fall and meeting at various times. We’ll be using Kevin Watson’s The Class Meeting as a key resource. You’re invited to sign-up in the lobby, or you can reach out to Pastor Joseph or Pastor Phil.

What is an Usher?

An usher is one who serves the Lord by being that person to greet those who have come to worship. An usher is one who helps a person find a seat or find the restroom. An usher is one who helps those with walkers and canes to their seats. An usher is always serving the Lord by representing the Lord through kindness and a smile. To know more about being an usher there will be a quick meeting after the service on August 29th to answer any and all questions that one may have about being an usher. If you have any other questions, please contact Electa Berk at 765-962-4496

Masks
In Central’s continued desire to love God and love our neighbor, we recognize the growing number of cases of Covid in our community.  We ask that while our county remains on the rise in the orange or red per coronavirus.in.gov website that you would wear a mask while moving around the building, singing, or unable to be physically distanced.  This will allow us to continue to create space to worship God and for our neighbor to join us.  Again, if you feel you have any symptoms or may have been exposed to the virus, please stay home and join us in worship through our livestream.  You can find it here on our Facebook page.  We will get through this together.
