Trick or Treat in the Park

With last year’s great success, the Parks Department has asked us to return this year for their Trick or Treat in the Park on Saturday, October 29th from 5-7pm. If you would like to be involved, you are invited to attend our Trick or Treat in the Park planning meeting on Friday, September 23rd at 1pm. We will discuss themes and ways to engage with our community. If you have any questions, or are unable to attend the  meeting but would like to be involved, please contact Christin at christin@richmondcumc.com

 

Pizza with the Pastor Sunday!

Join us Sunday, September 18th for an informal time of fellowship in the Fellowship Hall following worship service (approximately 11:30am). We will provide Pizza, Salad, Dessert, and Drinks. Come and meet others who follow Jesus here at Central while learning about the latest from Pastor Joseph and Pastor Ashley.

 

Creative Hands

Creative Hands will meet September 22, October 13, October 27, and November 10.

 

Continuing the Conversation

There remains many prayers, questions to be asked, Scripture passages to study, history to ponder, and conversations to be had as we come to a better understanding of the current issues surrounding the UMC. We may not know all the paths ahead, but we can have greater clarity on where we are now. Pastor Joseph is available to gather with you or your group to continue this conversation for greater understanding. Lamplighter Devotionals and Testimonies

We are asking for devotionals and testimonies from the congregation to be shared in a future Lamplighter. If you feel led to share, please submit yours to Christin at christin@richmondcumc.com

 

Wisdom Study

Much Wisdom has been gleaned as we have worked our way through the Hebrew Scriptures in this class. Much more lies ahead. Any who desire to wrestle with Scripture for insights from another angle are welcome to join us. We meet Wednesdays at 10am in the Parlor. You just need your Bible and an open heart – packets will be provided. Contact Pastor Joseph (joseph@richmondcumc.com) with interest and questions.

Fireside Conversation

Monday afternoons at 1:30 we create space to share about our past week, ask questions about church and life, and open our Bibles to read what Jesus has commanded us to do. Come as you are able for each week brings new studies and conversations to light for us to Practice the Way of Jesus.

 

Shalom Session

Join us on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 12:05pm in the Fellowship Hall for a brown bag lunch as we discuss and listen to the matters and efforts breaking and making the Shalom of our community. On the 20th, we will be discussing The Good Life and whatever else is on the hearts of those attending. Bring your lunch, your bibles, and a listening ear. May God break our hearts for what breaks his in this season. 

 

2023 Altar Flowers

If you would like to place an order for Sunday altar flowers in 2023, please call the office at 765-962-8543 or email Christin at christin@richmondcumc.com. Each order costs $25 and is billed through Jack Daggy Flowers. There are plenty of open dates in 2023!

 

2023 Scripture Readers

Looking for a way to serve on Sundays? Be a scripture reader! We are planning the 2023 schedule and would love to have you on board. Let Christin know so we can get you on the schedule for 2023!

 

Register for Family Camp! – Reservations are due by September 21st

The time has come to register for our annual Family Camp at Camp Moneto October 7-9. Whether you are a family of 1 or 8, you are invited to join us as we retreat in the woods of Brown County. God will be worshipped, adventures will be had, and rest will come. Come, as you feel led. Please email Pastor Joseph (joseph@richmondcumc.com) for pricing and lodging options. Scholarships are available.

Red Cross Blood Drive: Go to redcrossblood.org and enter code CUMCRICH in the box that says find a blood drive. Appointment times available 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2022.
