Children & Youth Sunday School

We are gearing up for another year of Preschool – 12th grade Sunday School with a gathering for the WHOLE family! Please join us Sunday, September 11th at 9am up in Studio 252 – use the stairs by the office/sanctuary and you can’t miss it 😉 We’ll sing, fellowship, and share the plan for the different age groups so kids and parents know what to expect.

** Please prayerfully discern if you would be able to serve on a monthly teaching rotation for our Children & Youth Sunday School. You will be partnered with another adult or older youth, materials will be provided. **

American Red Cross

Dana Mollenkopf will be manning booth 124 at the Archway Days in Centerville on August 26 and 27 focusing on the Wayne County American Red Cross. They will be sharing information about free smoke alarms, blood donations, the scope of RC services and how to volunteer with Red Cross. It will start at 3:00 p.m. on the 26th and 9:00a.m. on the 27th and will end at 9:00 each day. He would love to have people join him in the booth to share information about Red Cross. You will be told everything you need to know to share information with those who stop by to see us. If you are interested and would like to join him for even a short time, contact him at papamole@comcast.net or 765-277-0287.

Continuing the Conversation

There remains many prayers, questions to be asked, Scripture passages to study, history to ponder, and conversations to be had as we come to a better understanding of the current issues surrounding the UMC. We may not know all the paths ahead, but we can have greater clarity on where we are now. Pastor Joseph is available to gather with you or your group to continue this conversation for greater understanding. To set up a time, please call the office at 765-962 8543 or email joseph@richmondcumc.com. We will journey through this all together.

Lamplighter Devotionals and Testimonies

We are asking for devotionals and testimonies from the congregation to be shared in a future Lamplighter. If you feel led to share, please submit yours to Christin at christin@richmondcumc.com

We will meet in the Parlor. Our first meeting will be September 1st. Support people are welcome. For more information, please call Toni Reinke at 765-969-6631

Community Prayer Focus
This month we get to join our community in praying for Church Friends Who Need God. You are encouraged to ask God to fill your heart with love for your friends, help you know what encouraging words to share with them, and remind them of his great love for them.. And don’t forget: Our 24-hour prayer cycle is Sunday, August 28th. Please pick up a prayer packet in the hallway or in the church office.
