Continued Coronavirus Concerns

2022 marks year four of Covid in the world, and numbers are higher than ever before.  Please continue to pray for all who are affected, all who are battling it, and all of our neighbors.  Not all have chosen to fight against coronavirus in the same way, yet we are all in this fight together.  Still, pandemic fatigue and the new wave of omicron are far reaching.  As a people called to love our neighbors, please continue to offer your compassion as we battle through this latest wave.  At Central, we continue to keep our sanctuary distanced.  We continue to offer masks.  We continue to offer online services for all who are hunkering down, have been exposed, are experiencing symptoms, or are just worn out from wondering what to do.  We continue to be available throughout the week for whatever the need.  We continue to pray and come alongside all our neighbors in these times.  We continue to proclaim hope in Jesus, minister in the power of the Holy Spirit, and rejoice in the promises our God has given. Lord, hear our prayers.

Creative Hands

Creative Hands will NOT be meeting in the month of January. If you have any questions, please contact Shanron Rider.

Central is praying 2022 through.  We are joining with other Richmond area churches in covering the year in prayer through the 24/7 prayer effort.  Our date is the 28th of each month and there are still spots available for you to commit to such prayer.  To kick off this time of prayer, you are invited to join us for a Prayer Gathering on January 20th at 6:30pm in the Sanctuary.  We will share stories of prayer, ways of prayer, questions about prayer, songs of prayer, and be in prayer together.  Lord, hear our prayers.

Attending to the Homeless

Central will again be hosting a meal for the homeless during the annual Point In Time count on January 26th. In this short, four-week study we’ll explore the messy church of Ephesus under the leadership of Timothy. We’ll get deep into the text with all its challenging issues and practical insights. Taught by Pastor Phil in the Fellowship Hall each Thursday in February (starting Feb 3), at 6:30pm.
