ATTENTION PARENTS OF
PRESCHOOL AGED CHILDREN
Pre-registration for Central Preschool for church members began February
1st. Open registration began March 1. If you have a child who will be
attending Central Preschool during the 2008-2009 school year, you will
want to pick up one of the PRE-REGISTRATION PACKETS from the office. We
have had much success in filling our classes so be sure to register your
child as soon as possible. For more information, contact Charlie Black
in the church office.

Objectives of the Preschool
- To help every child build a sound body and wholesome state of mind
with an emphasis on Christian values.
- To give wise guidance and sympathetic understanding while adjusting
from home to school life.
- To provide freedom in play, availability of creative materials, and
group interaction.
- To give opportunities for children to flourish together, each building
his/her own positive self-image and developing respect for others.
- To provide many experiences throughout the year to expand a child’s
knowledge of the world.

| Tammy Hall is our lead teacher.
Prior to coming to Central, she served as the director of Cornerstone
Childcare Ministry and as a preschool teacher / developmental therapist
with Discovery Center / First Steps. She has also worked for Head
Start.
Tammy has an Associates degree in Child Development
and is working on her Bachelors Degree from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods
College in Early Childhood Special Education. |
Pauline Torbeck is our Assistant Teacher.
Pauline comes with many years of experience in Richmond Community
schools. She was an Assistant teacher in the Kindergarten class at
Vaile Elementary school.

Registration
- Open registration begins around March 1st of each year. Payment of
a $50.00 non-refundable registration fee is necessary to reserve a place
for your child.
- For more information on registering your child, please contact the
church office at 962-8542.
Enrollment
- A child must have had his birthday on or before September 1st and
potty trained to enter either program. For example, he must be three
years old on or before September 1st to enter the 3-year-old class.
- Enrollment of children with special needs will be considered on an
individual basis. Final enrollment is subject to the discretion of the
Director of Christian Education and the teachers.
- Children need to be enrolled each school year. They are not automatically
enrolled in the four-year-old program even though they attended the
three-year –old program.
We are proud to introduce our new "Multi-Age" program for 2008-2009
school year.
3 New Class Choices:
2-Day – Tuesday and Thursday
3-Day – Monday, Wednesday and Friday
5-Day – Monday – Friday
Longer time: 8:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Better preparation for All Day Kindergarten.
Same great teaching staff.
Same wonderful facility.
Open to all potty-trained children ages 3-5 years.

Scholarships
Our mission is to meet the needs of as many children as is possible.
Need-based scholarships are available for those who qualify. Please contact
the Director of Christian Education at 962-8543, if you are interested.
