MAY PSALM SERVICE Our May PSALM service will be
held on Saturday, May 17th at 6:00 p.m. This month
Pat Heiny will be our featured speaker. April’s service was very
well attended and was a blessing for everyone there. Those attending
in May are sure to be blessed again with this time of song, praise,
prayer and sharing. Afterwards, browse for a few minutes and share some
snacks as we spend some time in fellowship. Mark your calendar TODAY.
(Nursery service is provided). BREAD BASKET This local project offers nutritional meals on Tuesdays from 4:30-6:00 p.m., for those in need at: 1024 East Main St., Rock Solid Ministries. Central's day for May will be Tuesday, May 20th. If you would be interested in volunteering some of your time to help with this wonderful ministry, please contact Toni Reinke at 962-2729. ****************************** RELAY FOR LIFE In the past, many members of Central United have supported
the Wayne County Relay for Life. You have done so because it is such
an important mission in that it is a major fund raiser for the American
Cancer Society. This year, the event is scheduled for May 31-June 1.
A number of Central members are part of the team called Hope Assured.
The team was formed three years ago in memory of some of our dear friends
that we have lost to cancer and in support of those who are currently
in the fight. Hope Assured is again seeking support from other members
of Central United Methodist as we approach this year’s event.
As members of the team, you can walk as much or as little as you desire.
You may want to help support the team by loaning a tent or RV for those
who spend the night or by donating food or snacks for those who participate
throughout the twenty-four hour event. There are many ways to be involved.
You may already be involved in some other manner, but if not, please
consider joining us. For more information contact Dana or Elaine Mollenkopf
at 962-1117 or send an email to papamole@comcast.net.
